Missions are a vital part of the Nazarene Church internationally, and a vital part locally to M1Naz. This is such an amazing opportunity for us to be the hands and feet of Jesus to both the world and our own backyard. Once a year, as a congregation, we serve our community on a Sunday morning through local mission opportunities and then come together for food and fellowship afterwards.
Our NMI President is Vicky Hite. Vicky has a huge heart full of compassion for those in need. She’s creative and has connections all over the place to reach the hearts and lives of those who need help. Vicky is also always looking for folks to join her side in helping reach the hurting. Here at M1Naz we also have a compassionate ministries team. They help with food, overdue bills, rent, etc. Our team assists those in need on a case by case basis. Our food pantry is always stocked and ready to help anyone with empty shelves. We’re only able to do this through the generous giving of our congregation.
Along with local missions, we believe in global missions. We are glad to be part of the global vision of Nazarene world missions. One way to get involved is by checking out Nazarene Compassionate Ministries. You can learn about sponsoring a child, helping refugees, or providing disaster relief to countries and people all over the globe.
